Goldfish Filmfest - Newcastle
In 2021, I founded the Goldfish Filmfest - a celebration of short films based around the city of Newcastle. The 3-minute masterpieces were created by 1st year Music, Design and Communication undergraduate students at Newcastle University.
Community and Industry Engagement
I co-ordinated the cohort of 350 students and 10 tutors over a 5 month period in 2021/2022 and employed many creative problem solving skills while dealing with ongoing Covid restrictions. Approximately 70 short films were submitted and my curated collection of 30 were judged by relevant Industry representatives. The winners received a special Goldfish shaped 3D printed trophy, which I designed. We had booked-out opening nights at the Newcastle Conservatorium both years.
